CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (ESPN Clarksville) Kenwood High School announced their new Head Football Coach Thursday. Les Greer is taking over the lead of the Knights football program.

Greer praised the faculty, staff and students at Kenwood saying he could feel their energy and see their vision.

Greer shared his thoughts on taking over as the new head coach.

“I have a passion for coaching, spending time with young people, building relationships and helping them become the best version of themselves they can be. That’s in the classroom, as a man and as a football player,” Greer said.

Kenwood Principal, Marcus Heaston and Assistant Principal & Athletic Director, Garry Chadwell had the honor of introducing Greer to players on the football team, school faculty & staff as well as community members.

Greer last served as Head Football Coach and Athletic Director at King’s Academy in Seymour, Tennessee. He was also Defensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach at Knoxville Catholic High School, as well as Assistant Coach at both Siegel High School and Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro.

Greer has a Bachelor of Science in Business Education from Middle Tennessee State University. His teaching experience includes applied match concepts, macro/micro economics, PE and weight training along with business economics and personal finance.
