Stay hydrated: Civil surgeon
Ludhiana: In view of the possible increase in temperature in the coming few days, civil surgeon Dr Parvinderpal Singh Sidhu has advised the residents to take precautionary measures to save themselves from “loo”. In an advisory issued on Wednesday he said that if the residents do not take precautionary measures, they might fall sick.
He stated that residents would also have to keep a close tab on the climatic conditions of coming days from radio, TV, newspapers or other sources of information.

He suggested that in summers, even if one is not thirsty, one should drink a lot of water and prefer wearing khadi clothes. He said that liquid intake should be increased during the season to avoid dehydration.
Dr Sidhu also said employers should keep cold drinking water at workplaces, avoid facing direct sunlight, and take up heavy labour work during only when the sun is not shining bright.
