East Lyme police: Internet escort extorted $900 from married man

East Lyme — Police have charged a Vermont woman with extorting $900 from a married man who paid her for sex.

Police said the man used skipthegames.com to contact Blake Hill, 22, of St. Johnsbury, Vt., on April 23. Later that day she came to his house, where they had sex and he paid her $200.

Police said Hill texted the man two days later to arrange another meetup. When he declined her offer — he was at work and his wife was home, he said — she sent six rapid-fire text messages demanding $500 and suggesting she might ask his wife for the money.

She said if he upped the amount to $800, she would delete his contact information and never bother him again.

The pair ultimately agreed on $600 — the maximum he could withdraw from the ATM — and exchanged the money at Niantic Center School on West Main Street.

Police said Hill texted the man again April 26. She asked for more money and again threatened to involve his wife but promised it was the last time.

They met at the school, where he gave her $300.

When Hill texted four hours later asking for “the rest” of the money — she had wanted $600, not $300 — the man arranged another meeting but also contacted East Lyme police.

Police on April 27 went to the school and waited for Hill, who believed she was getting $300 more from the man.

When police saw the vehicle the man had described, they approached it as it parked in the lot. Asked what she was doing, Hill told police she was getting cash from one friend to bail another friend out of jail.

Police told Hill they had seen her text messages, but she repeated her story and denied having extorted the victim. Hill also told police she came to Connecticut for Easter but planned to return to Vermont when she could afford to do so.

Police charged Hill that day with fifth-degree larceny because of the amount of money she allegedly took. The charge has since been upgraded to first-degree larceny because of the method she used to get it.

Information about her court date wasn’t immediately available.
