Five Cases Of Polio Detected In Bannu: DC

BANNU, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th May, 2019 ) :Deputy Commissioner Bannu Atta ur Rehman Wednesday said the polio cases detected in Bannu was a matter of great concern as five cases have been reported in the district.

He said eradication of polio virus was impossible without having clean water in drains and non-vaccination of the children against polio.

Addressing a ceremony organized in collaboration of UNICEF to create awareness against polio here, the DC said our teams were reaching to each child in that regard.

He termed the propaganda against anti-polio drive in Peshawar a deliberate attempt that badly affected the anti-polio campaign in KP.

The number of polio cases in Bannu have reached to alarming level which will be eradicated through our collective efforts without paying heed to others propaganda, he said.

The ceremony was attended by DHO Dr Taous Khan, Dr Ishaq Khan, district officials and large number of people.
