Ticktum gets 'positive vibes' from Red Bull after test
SuperFormula driver Dan Ticktum has revealed that he received “positive vibes” from Red Bull management following his test for the team at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona this week. The testing came after the conclusion of the Spanish Grand Prix last Sunday.
The Brit had previously tested for the team in Bahrain, and was given another opportunity on Wednesday, when he posted the 10th-fastest time.
He says it was about impressing the Red Bull higher-ups rather than pace, though.
“I want them [Red Bull] to be happy,” Ticktum said.
“The vibe I'm getting at the moment is positive, I would say. Usually quite good at judging if I've done a good or bad job or not.

“But yeah, I'll probably get some more feedback later on after they've had a look at everything. But I think overall at the moment, everyone's happy.
“Overall, it went pretty good I think. For me it's obviously only my second full day in a modern F1 car, so still getting a bit up to speed.
“Obviously the team have got a plan that I try to stick to as best I could, and I think they're happy with the data that I've got.
“We had a bit of an issue which cost us a few hours, but the running that we did get done was positive. So I think for the team data-wise, they've got a lot of what they wanted.”
When asked if Red Bull chief Helmut Marko had given him any targets for 2019, Ticktum replied: “I don't know at the moment. Obviously he's told me to win. That's all he ever says, which is fair enough really. It's what we're all trying to do.”
