Investigation underway after Georgia Court of Appeals judge found dead

ALBANY, Ga. (WFXL) – A death investigation is underway Saturday morning after a Court of Appeals judge was found dead.

Albany Police was dispatched around 8 a.m. When they arrived, 60-year old Judge Stephen Goss was located in a wooded area behind the residence deceased from a gunshot wound.

Currently, law enforcement is using all resources to identify the circumstances that led to his death. However, they disclosed in a Facebook post that they did not suspect foul play at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation.
