CENTRAL NEW YORK (WSYR-TV) — Lots of people are coughing and complaining about sore throats. Let’s check in with our doctors starting in Syracuse.

Brighton Hill Pediatrics says children with sore throats are testing positive for strep. They’re also seeing coughs, and pneumonia is going around, along with a stomach bug and colds.

At Pediatric Associates in Camillus, the big thing is ear infections that develop after children have been sick for a week or more with respiratory illnesses. Croup is going around with a fever and barky cough, and they’re seeing sore throats of both the viral and strep variety.

In Auburn, strep throat is also on the list, along with viral sore throats, a few cases of the flu, and they’re seeing upper respiratory infections and colds.

In Pulaski, Dr. Carguello checks in with upper respiratory infections and bronchitis.
