LUCKNOW: The coronavirus threat has grabbed health department's focus to such an extent that it is finding no time to take measures for containing swine flu which has claimed one life in city this month, besides 46 cases being reported.
CMO Lucknow had directed health staff to visit homes of swine flu patienst and give Tamiflu to the family and people living in 50-metre radius of affected household.

As many as 65 swine flu cases have been reported this year with 46 (70%) in March so far. One patient had died on March 19.
When TOI spoke to families of patients, they said no one came to give them Tamiflu. In three cases, the tablets were not given to entire family.
"Health officials gave Tamiflu only for my infected son. They promised it for all family, but didn't come When I called CMO office, I was told to come and collect, but was given medicine for four members," said father of a patient living in Om Puri colony. Dr K P Tripathi, in-charge communicable disease unit, said, "We will probe if there has been any laxity and take action against guilty staff."
